Advanced Micro Systems
ADTlink is a software tool for importing structural analysis/design models from the RAM Structural SystemTM into AutoDesk’s Architectural Desktop, the predominant CAD platform for architects and architectural engineering firms. ADTlink virtually eliminates the error prone process of manually coordinating the structural model with the rest of the disciplines by automating the process of importing a RAM Structural System model into ADT as native members. This eliminates the many hours spent going through the error prone process of recreating the structural model manually in ADT.
Advanced Micro Systems is a leader in providing Autodesk CAD-based solutions to organizations with engineering, design, and data workflow requirements. They are professional Autodesk Developers and OEM’s providing Architectural and Manufacturing customers with increased productivity through the sale of software, implementation services, and design automation programming. Applied System Associates, Inc. (aSa)
aSa has developed software to link aSa’s Rebar Estimating and CAD/Detailing software products to RAM Concrete. This will provide a cost-effective way to streamline the process of designing, detailing, and building concrete structures starting at the cost estimating/value engineering stage and continuing through the construction of the project. See the Press release. For more information contact David Grundler.
Fabsec
Fabsec Ltd, develops the industry leading design software FBEAM for long span steel beams with cellular or bespoke web openings. The beams can also be fire engineered within the software for up to 2 hrs fire resistance. Manufacture of the beams is undertaken under license with 40,000 tones of production in the UK for 2004.
Fabsec is currently working toward integration of their FBEAM product with RAM Structural System v9.0. The aim is to have the two programs closely coupled so it becomes very simple to incorporate and design Fabsec Products in the RAM Structural System
American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)
RAM Estimator v2.0
Harness the output from RAM Structural System to compare framing options on the basis of structural framing costs. Once the RAM models are completed, compare the total frame costs of various framing schemes to identify the most economical option. For more information contact the Steel Solutions Center, LLC at
